New comic: 'First Got the Internet'

I have just released a new comic to the web! Here's the blurb:

First Got the Internet
In my Nineties kid childhood, internet access was a scarcity. Today, the internet is ubiquitous and is a major distraction.

I actually drew this comic back in February 2017, in the same creative burst that also spawned Blocking My Reptile, and Defending Dumbphones. These three comics are about similar interrelated topics.

It is only now, in November 2017, that I've found the time to polish off this comic and release it to you!

The comic is a reminder of the fact that until relatively recently, we were not continuously connected to the web, like we are today.

I reflect on my early days as an internet user, and how I mimic aspects of this experience today.

PS: stay tuned for the first instalment of Notel later this month!

Just got the postcard for page 2 last Friday - seeing the Hyper magazine poster took me back...

Very nice. I appreciated the ideas about carving out internet free time ("no screen Sunday" sounds particularly appealing to me), and the little twist of irony at the end about voluntarily going back to what used to be a forced limit.

Great job Stuart! As always. Keep it up.
