2023-03-26 05:35:29 +0000 UTCThis explanation that the Ravener "already won" makes more sense to me than Uldar actually being evil, with the only remaining threat being the heroes that appear every 100 years. Rather than just offing them in secret, it makes sense to launch a systematic "purging" every century in order to ensure that history doesn't remain, as well as building up this power of faith (that the Ravener has subverted) and keeping Uldar relevant as a cover (which keeps the Church and his pawns in power).

Also while I know that many people already called that Thundar and Desrera will be an item it's hilarious to see people in the story start to ship them.

That either there never was, or that he's dead (or imprisoned?) and the faith being sent his way has been suborned by the Ravener, the head of the church, or something that's been controlling both somehow. Why else would he pit the church and the Ravener "against" each other in this way? Why else would he be the only god currently worshipped that nobody has ever seen? Why else would he make the Heroes only to then nerf the only one that could actually solve this for good, in such a way that absolutely cripples him? Why would he bother with slowly escalating Ravener spawn and church members to handle a problem getting out of control instead of just smiting it? I'm guessing that's the reason the Traveller couldn't find his realm. Because it doesn't exist, or doesn't exist in the way she was expecting.
