The Circular File: Tim Burton's TRUMP
Added 2017-06-28 05:41:17 +0000 UTCI write a lot of scripts that never get drawn for one reason or another. I thought you might like to see some of them occasionally!
Here's an eight-panel strip that probably would take me a full week to draw (poorly) and it has about a 10% chance of success so I'm not doing it. Enjoy!
tim burton’s trump: the movie
(tim burton is sitting in a director’s chair, talking to someone just off camera, being interviewed)
tim burton: I don’t think a director should feel beholden to the source material.
it’s more important that we expose the story’s essential truth.

JOHNNY DEPP DEEP ROY
TIM BURTON’S
TRUMP
(depp is trump. we see him in profile, looking slyly at the camera, wearing a top hat with elaborate curls of blonde hair sticking out from under it)
----
(depp is in character, sitting on a giant golden couch by himself )
depp: people don’t care about the russians!
it’s a non-starter.
--
(This panel is laid out in three vertical slices, each one more zoomed in than the previous)
depp: they care about jobs!
-
depp: JOBS!
-
depp: JOBS!
------
(there is a burst of energy that forces Depp to raise his arms to block the glare.
In the middle of the blast is THE GHOST OF STEVE JOBS [played by Deep Roy]. )
--
depp: it’s steve jobs!
I heard you were dead, steve.
I heard it from an extremely credible source.
------
(Roy is standing in front of an energy portal. Through the portal we catch a glimpse of a generic whimsical world)
roy: you’ve won, donald!
but you’ve won so much more than you can imagine.
i’m here to take you to the secret world of the billionaires.
--
(We see Depp and Roy from behind, bathed in eerie light. They step into the portal holding hands. Depp looks down at Roy.)
roy: You know what the best part is, donald?
depp: space tits?
roy: unlimited self-pardons.
