Project Starcorgi

So. It's been a bit quiet lately around here. I'm sure you've noticed. I've been working on a new project, and while I've discussed it a bit on Twitter I don't think I've mentioned it here yet.

A few months back it occurred to me that it might be more fun to make comics that aren't about politics and other tragedies. I decided to make an effort to go back to more traditional comics storytelling, I would develop a few new ongoing stories in the vein of Dungeon Divers and mix those in with the more topical standalone stuff.

One particular idea I developed (which we'll call Project Starcorgi for the purposes of our discussion) seemed to me to have particular promise. It was an all-ages story with a tidy elevator pitch. I spent a lot of time brainstorming and outlining ideas. Things began to take shape.

Then I was contacted by a "scout" for a publisher. This person works with talent he's identified to develop middle-grade properties for publishing and beyond (TV, games, etc) on a massive scale. He's handled a billion dollars in IP, some of which you are familiar with, and he seems to be the genuine article. I showed him what I'd been working on for Project Starcorgi and he really dug it and now we're working together to get this thing into a shape where it can be presented to people with deep pockets.

This is an amazing opportunity and I've only been able to work on it thanks to your support here on Patreon. I'm going to be making Project Starcorgi my priority for the next few months until the three book pitch is done. This will impact schedules for everything else, including rewards, but I'll do my best to find a balance. Once the pitch is done and presented, for good or bad, I'll share the details and inside info here with you. I'm keeping records of notes and sketches for sharing here as well.

Anyhow, thanks again for your support as always. I'm very excited for this and I can't wait to show it to you.
