As the game has gotten larger, I thought folks may like a way to switch the path they were on, on the fly. So I added this little toggle to the options menu and reworked some of my code, which to be frank wasn't very elegant anyways so this was a good thing. This was in no way a selfish move by myself to stop having to start all over again every time I wanted to test the other path :)
It does what you expect it to do by switching the path you are on, the one caveat being if you do it in the middle of a character specific scene, it will finish that scene before making the switch.
The path choices should synch to whatever you change your character's name to. So if you are using the name Fanushski, which I expect most of you are for the male character then it will show as seen above in the screen shot.
Useful? Need it now, or OK to wait until I package it with some bug fixes or updates?

I'm looking at ways to make Patreon more accessible to more people. Not there yet in terms of how, but I do want to add an extra tier or two, which will have limited and/or delayed access to content. There are a few factors in play with the costs that I need to factor in, future proofing it to ensure I don't restrict myself when the VN is complete but also offer value for money for folks. I would expect an announcement over the next few weeks on those extra tiers.

2024-10-11 09:12:50 +0000 UTCI've not fully decided what to do with Itch tbh. It may be a lot of effort for little reward popping things on there. I will give it a little time to see how chapter 3 does as a paid chapter and then decide. Patreon will need to be on chapter 5 before I consider a chapter 4 release to itch though, so it will not happen until there is at least 2 more releases to Patreon.

2024-10-08 18:02:30 +0000 UTCIt shouldn't. If it does it will be because I messed up something silly :) The way the code works behind the scene flow is actually a lot cleaner than before, I've actually been able to use fewer lines of code.

2024-10-08 04:27:22 +0000 UTCYes I agree. That's something you can wrap up with a regular update. it's definitely useful , just hope when game gets bigger, that this tool not cause some crashes. But I'm not expert about this so maybe it's nothing to be worried.
