Weekly update - May 23rd

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping to write about the newly released chapter 8 in this week's update but it's not quite there yet, I'm afraid.

I have around 20 or so renders to complete plus one animation. It's unlikely that I can get that done today but I should be able to wrap it up over this weekend.

It's just been the sheer scale of things and the complexity of the rendering (a lot of the sets in this chapter are new to me, that takes a lot more setting up). It was also my birthday yesterday so, that may have slowed me down a little :) Oh and the dog ate my homework :)

The scripting is all done and ready for the review process, I'll be looking to do that today once I've completed a full walkthrough. I am about halfway through the wlakthrough at the moment.

For the stats nerds out there, there are currently 607 unique renders and 5647 lines of code in chapter 8. This is pretty comparable to the figures for chapter 7, so I'm about right in terms of length for this chapter.

I'm going to keep things short and sweet this week, as I focus on getting the last few steps complete. But expect Chapter 8 to drop sometime over the next couple days.

Once again thank you for the patience. It's just a couple more days, I promise :)
