Until this election and the aftermath, I'd have said I was proud to be an American, and proud to be from the South. Now, I feel anger and shame at how my region of the country is behaving. I hate how our country is perceived due to the actions of our leaders. So, I'd say I WANT to be proud to be an American, but I'm not sure I am.
