Asexuality Deep Dive

Comments

Yes, absolutely. there are many roads to not having a preference for sex.

Psychology In Seattle

Asexuality is defined in a few different ways, depending on the dimension discussed. I'm not sure what definition I was using in this episode, but from my memory, I think I was using one particular definition, and I was not yet aware of all the nuances.

I am sorry I am going to have lots of questions. When you defined asexuality, you said that they don't feel sexual attraction/innate desire to have sex with people. Does not minding to have sex but not having an innate drive or desire for sex still part of asexuality?

I have some questions: what do you mean by "never having a responsive sexual partner" might lead someone to think that sex is always terrible. Also can people have phobias not towards the genitals but towards what the genitals produce in a specific setting too?
