Regarding anxiety benefits: you kind of have to *really* want to see it, but I’ve found that a benefit, of sorts, that I get from my anxiety is that I’m actually surprisingly functional in terrible situations. Like, I’m really, really accustomed to feeling like the world is ending anyway, so, unless the situation specifically causes me to become dissociative, I can just sort of carry on with life, even if something weird or objectively distressing is happening. I hope that makes sense.
