The Psychology of John Lennon

Comments

OMG I loved this episode so much! I am wanting to know more. I am wondering how could John Lennon have such a dichotomy in the way in which he saw the world and treated people. From crusades and songs about peace and love. And yet having intensely abusive relationships with his closest, partners and family? Does this speak to his BPD traits. This is what manifests in trauma? How could he accomplish so much with having to deal with all the pain trauma and complexities in his emotions? I'd love to understand that deeper. Also wondering about the wife mother relationship with Yoko. I'd love to learn more about that dynamic and manifestation in an episode. Its so awesome to hear you put all this understanding to real life people. Thank you!

Ha! Love it.

Interesting episode. I put off listening to it for a while, because the Beatles have been so central to my life that it feels a little overly personal to have other people talking about them, but I’d say you did me proud (also, at your request, I’m showing amazing restraint and not pointing out that “I Me Mine” is George’s song. Amazing restraint. Totally not saying a word...). Anyway, I knew some of this, and some of it definitely filled in some blanks for me. All of it makes him make more sense.
