The Psychology of Bill Cosby

Comments

I love the podcast and the topics are always thoughtful. This topic is a rough one. When I was a kid I was a big fan up until I saw him interview on Donahue (remember that show). I remember that I was put off by how he behaved. He was cold and arrogant. his behavior made me feel like he was above the whole experience. I really wanted to like him but after that interview I just could never again buy into the image he was selling. I’ve seen him in other interviews since and though he never again came across as cold he was still arrogant. Finding out about his illegitimate daughter after he’d been emotionally spanking black men for their behavior was just one more reason to distrust the Cosby brand. I now wonder if what was exhibited in that old Donahue interview, that changed my fandom into blandom, was the real Bill.

Yeah, Steve Martin was HUGE!
