Post-Ides Update

Hi everyone! I hope your Ides went well and that you brutally slaughtered your tyrants alongside your loved ones.

As you may know, my son Alec has been recovering from surgery on both of his legs since December, but is now literally back on his feet. This gave his brother Ben a window of opportunity to break his femur on Tuesday, and now he's on the rented hospital bed that his brother just vacated for the next 6-8 weeks (I had to call the pharmacy to tell them we weren't returning it the next day, we were scheduled for a pickup).

So the period of increased activity I was looking forward to as my caretaker duties diminished has been delayed a bit, but hopefully it won't affect anything too much.

I am also going to be working on fulfillment for the SFAM Book 4 Kickstarter, it looks like, since the books arrived today as a surprise, like stealthy ninjas. But I have help from my daughter Norah, who is probably more mature and capable than most adults I know, so I think we're in good hands and hopefully that won't slow me down either.

In MUCH better news, I am working on a new project, very hush-hush, I don't want to tell you what it is because I don't want to jinx it. But I've cracked a nut I've been working at for a few years now and it may be time. I'll be writing for a few months -- I want to get the whole thing written before I draw this time -- but when it does start posting I think you'll be pleased.

And it'll be exclusive to Patreon patrons, of course, as I post pages. So hopefully we have that to look forward to.

Okay! I'm going to go collapse. This week has been the longest year so far.

That is indeed A Lot, but I'm glad that there are some Positive Things on the horizon. Stay strong, comrade!

You look after your family. And yourself. We know whatever comes will be worth the wait!

Dang. Are you sure your name isn't Jonah?

Family first. Comics later. Tend to your family's needs. And then good luck with the new project.

Kids do fun & inexplicable things. It’s a perk. Happy, you’re all at the healing point of the adventure. Wish for speedy recovery …
