I don't know what ever happened to your client but it's hard to doubt that he would have had an eventual 'emotional crash' from this ersatz self improvement tool.A book I read about CBT once said that good approaches/interventions are ones that do not have big long term downsides. People often forget that the price of doing something is also the downsides and longterm costs and personal sacrifices involved...often hidden or smoothed over by sleazy mentors.
