I thought it was interesting that you said a histrionic person can be manipulative (or is frequently manipulative, not sure which way you worded it). I absolutely agree that they are. My mother fits the criteria from in my experience, and she is and was manipulative. Some others in my life who seem to be histrionic are likewise manipulative. But I wondered why you found it ok to describe histrionics as manipulative, but you wouldn't use the word for borderline people. Personally, I think borderlines are manipulative in the same way, perhaps for the exact same reason as histrionics are.
