My veterinary liability insurance carrier sends out those newsletters too, and they freak me out! Some of them are clearly cases like this where a blatant error occurred, but others are situations where everything was done properly and the doctor is vindicated, but gets dragged through hell during the process. Disciplinary actions can be similar-anything from a letter of reprimand, fine, CE, supervision, to suspension of license. It varies from state to state. Some states are extremely strict, and others overlook some pretty egregious behavior
