For example, going consciously AGAINST family cuttofs (ie. spending time with your Dads sibling who Dad hates, or forcing yourself to hang out with your sibling who you feel distant from. A great song to analyze would be Lost In The Flood from Springsteen's first album. There's a lot there...psychologically oriented stuff too.
