Thank you for a great episode. It was validating to hear you mention the types of depression. In my experience, clinicians don't even know that there are different types. I have BPD so mine usually involves crying a lot, all day, and planning my exit as the pain becomes unbearable. My CBT therapist would try to help by giving me advice on how to get out of bed, which I never had issues with. He then would blame my ED for my antidepressants not working. It is extremely invalidating and a dangerous thing to do to someone who is already thinking about dying. Why are these therapists even allowed to take on PD patients if they're so uneducated? Shouldn't they be promoting as behavioral trainers and limit themselves to work with normal people deal with everyday life issues?

I’ve never heard “sauce for the goose sauce for the gander” but I love it! Who doesn’t love sauce?
