Can't diagnose a personality disorder just from learning about someone's family of origin relationships and not their adult behavior. That's like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle with the picture pieces turned upside down. Your mother sounds very manipulative but even that alone is not enough to diagnose her with any disorder, let alone the children. But google "triangulation" "scapegoat" "golden child" and "inferiority complex" for illustrations of these dynamics in the psychological literature to learn more about how these interactions may have influenced your behavior as an adult, regardless of whether it is related to a PD, since even people who are subclinical when it comes to personality disorders can be harmed by and unconsciously repeat patterns of emotional abuse from childhood.

What types of personality disorders would you expect from someone that was sabotaged by his mother because her "favorite" Son would be jealous. When i graduated high school I was accepted into a college. I asked my mother many times to fill out the parental financial responsibility part of the student loan. She said she couldn't because her favorite son (a HS drop out and stoner) would be jealous so she sabotage my future. She did many things to me "to keep my brother from being jealous" what personality disorders would you expect from a child that has this to deal with growing up? I really related to the things you said about Brandon on 90 day.

Can you talk about what it looks like to make a plan with a new client to treat depression? After being officially diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and adhd I was asked to go to therapy for 12 weeks at least. Do you discuss with your clients about the improvements or otherwise to their condition?
