I'm glad to hear that!

Psychology In Seattle

Reviving this thread since I’ve recently gotten an ADHD diagnosis. I’ve been in therapy for anxiety, cpstd and depression mainly and while it helped a lot I always felt like there was some piece of information missing. Like everything I learned about myself through therapy hadn’t fully clicked. In retrospect, my behavior makes a lot more sense to me through the lens of the adhd diagnosis. I’m sad for those who won’t ever get a diagnosis. I feel fortunate that I have health insurance and a good paying job so I can explore providers in private practice.

From my personal experience ADHD never goes away - you just learn to hide symptoms better or to find better ways to cope- and then one day a pandemic hits and all your carefully constructed methods become disrupted and you just don’t seem to muster up the energy to get back on all the needed habits to cope with life.
