Part 4

Alex put two and two together in a hurry, with regards to her new body's needs. She didn't understand how it broke down whatever she put inside of it, but it was obvious that consuming large objects made her feel really good. It was as if her body was glowing, energy trickling throughout her nether regions. The sensation of being filled so completely sent her on such a high. And her body, amorphous and formless, was eager to wrap around anything bigger than her, and bring it within herself.

Unfortunately, like many stimulated highs, chasing the next big wave proved to be a challenge. The cause of the problem wasn't immediately apparent to Alex, between her lustful insertions. For everything she ate, she was growing bigger. She initially thought it was all going towards her buxom and chest (and, it was true, it was not an insignificant addition to her shapely features). But the towering palm trees seemed to tower a little less over her now, and as she plucked tree after tree, each new addition to her yearning, swirling stomach provided less and less of a hit.

As her body burbled, pumping up and outwards, plucking trees that took all her strength before merely took just one arm. She indulged herself over and over, oblivious to her new stature; she had practically doubled in height, her curves curvier, and some of the palm fronds she could reach the top of without any extra exertion.

The voracious hunger ebbed away, the lustful heat with it. Collapsing on her knees, she opted to cool off, lurching towards the oasis waters. Alex was beginning to warm up a bit to the quirks of her cursed body. It was marvelous, how quickly the human mind could adapt to new experiences. Pausing for a moment from her ravenous consumption of whatever was on hand, she oozed towards the oasis itself, settling into the pool of clear blue water.

...At least, it was clear and blue, but after eating several trees, a massive boulder, and whatever else she stumbled upon, her sandy body spread out, mixing with the water, and rendering it to a thick mud, bespeckled with all those curious gems. Sliding into her own personalized mud bath, Alex finally relaxed.

She admired her buxom, each breast resembling a medicine ball in size; trickles of sludge-like hair billowed out from behind her, obscuring the shore line. She sighed happily, her body cool, sludgy, and utterly relaxed, the sensation of her body practically melting in the water acting as a great relief for what had been a stressful, hectic start to her day. She had spent so long planning her expedition, avoiding perilous traps all the while.

She looked over her palm, cupping a handful of the magical gems, admiring them as they painlessly dipped and floated in her hand. She was always so anxious about a certain level of risk when it came to overseas expeditions like these. So much could go wrong... but she felt an otherworldly power inside of her, protecting her. She would never have to worry about such travel risks again. Though she supposed that it might be difficult boarding a plane...

She went over some of her findings from the cave. She supposed that the temple was dedicated to some sort of high priestess, perhaps an enchantress... maybe even a goddess. There was no shortage of jewelry inside, but there had to be a compelling reason as to why the temple was so far removed from any other settlement. Perhaps the power of the curse merited such a dramatic measure to contain it.

Alex wondered if it would pose problems if she returned to civilization. Her stomach, still swirling away underneath the mud, twisted at the thought of it. She acknowledged her unusual growth with a pang of concern...

Gurgle...

She tensed up, and then shuddered, the mudbath around her churning and sloshing around her. The amorphous mud that comprised her shifted, curving, sinking into an indistinct mass, and then moulding into curves once more. She examined herself, her one tan, course, sandy body, now taking on the texture of clay, sleek and supple to the touch. There was no sign of the oasis left, only a crater in its wake.

She brushed her slender fingers against her skin, her stomach swollen with water, looking all the picture of a fertile mother. She pressed down, feeling her stomach flattening out as water sloshed within her, travelling to other parts of her body.

This wouldn't do. She frowned to herself. The oasis would die if she went home with their only source of water. Unless she could... take the oasis with her?

She leaned back, her form sinking into the ground as if the earth herself was a lake. The swirl on her stomach swirled intensely, and the earth began to shift. Her form melted into the soil, leaving only the swirling quicksand. The remaining palm trees swayed uncertainly, before shifting slowly towards her center, toppling over in crashing waves. As the earth opened up into a whirlpool of sand, trees, flowers, and other plants began to slip inside of her, one after the other.

Her body flared up, pleasant energy ebbing through her, the sensation of fullness, of completeness washing over her, eagerly allowing this small stretch of desert to disappear inside of her. Formless and immense, she could feel herself growing imperceptibly, waves of quicksand and jewels expanding as the desert swelled to reclaim the increasingly small oasis there was. Even the temple itself, such a prime archaeological location, seemed to collapse in on itself, rocks, stones, wooden traps swirling within her.

She chuckled, her voice a breeze on the wind. There wouldn't be much need for such a dusty, isolated site out here. Feeling the cavernous pathways inside of her, the prodding of spears and the warmth of torches, she idly amused herself on a curious idea.

If she couldn't bring her own people to this wonderful temple... then perhaps, the next best thing would be to bring the temple to the people.

Her form swelled, burbling as she reformed. The sensation of an entire settlement within her, churning idly. A maternal instinct washed over her as she rose.

She had no sense of scale as to how tall she truly was, for the desert stretched on for miles. But if she lumbered forward, she would find someone. And her curiosity would be satisfied. Lumbering along, she cradled her swirling stomach. Her earthen body looking ever the part of a goddess of fertility.
