Trade: Don't Mix Cola And Mints

Summary: Usually when you try the mint and soda trick, the container ruptures before anything fun happens. Not so if an impossible elastic superhero-in-training tries it... My half of a trade for Animewave-Neo

---

The new Shock the Porpoise game had been released, and Satoshi, an on-and-off elastic superhero in training, was an hour into the start of the game, having fun, just doing kid stuff. He invited his friend John to play with him... or, well, to watch him play. John was getting a little restless, as Satoshi had a habit of hogging the controller.

"Is it my turn yet?"
"You can have a go when I die."

"You haven't died yet... and you got shields up."

"Yeah, this game's not so hard..."

Satoshi stuck out his tongue, getting into the groove of the momentum-based platforming. John tried to grab the controller from out of Satoshi's hands, but he would stretch his arms just out of reach every time. Even as John tried to crawl after it, Satoshi's limbs would wrap around him, his eyes focused squarely on dodging androids. After a loop around Satoshi, John slumped. If only the controller was wired...

"Hey, fun idea," John suggested. "I'll wrestle you for it."

"Why would I wrestle for it?" Satoshi muttered, his body squeaking as his arms rubbed against his chest. "It's my house, my game."

"You gonna turn down a challenge like that? You're not a chicken, are you?" John's eyebrow perked up, a sly grin stretching his cheeks. Satoshi grimaced; if there was one thing that spurred Satoshi to action on most matters, it was being called a chicken. Or a coward. Or a scaredy-pants, and so on.

...Satoshi got an idea. "Yeah sure, okay. Be right back though." He paused the game and slipped out of the room. To John's annoyance, Satoshi took the controller with him, so he couldn't sneak some gameplay in.

Satoshi remembered what his mother had told him about using his elastic abilities all willy-nilly. He quickly reasoned that it'd be okay if it was inside the house. Still, for everyone's sanity, and to prevent unnecessary trips to the clothing store, he'd needed to slip into his stretchy supersuit. He'd gotten good about slipping into it quickly and discreetly when no one was around; he could just compress his body to a narrow point, slip through the collar, and POP right back into shape, easy!

That wasn't the idea he had. He dug around his closet for a pair of foodstuffs... a red bottle of cola and some wrapped up mints. He saw a video on the internet about what happens when these two things combined, and the results were pretty explosive. His body could take some considerable punishment, so he always wanted to try it himself.

He raised the cola to his lips, rapidly chugging the entire thing. He could feel the entire thing slosh around in his stomach, the carbonation harsh against the back of his throat. That was too much to take in all at once... he'd have to get rid of the evidence before his mom found out about his unhealthy soda habit.

He clasped the mints in his fist and headed back to the entertainment room, a smug grin on his face. "Alright Johnny, you ready to get tossed around?" Satoshi held the controller up, the prize of their little wager, and put it aside.

"Pfft. You might be a superhero, but I'm the coach's fav on the wrestling team. I'll tie you up in knots~" He bragged, getting into a stance. Satoshi's confidence actually wavered slightly in that moment; John had actual wrestling experience. Sure, Satoshi had amazing elastic superpowers, capable of mind-boggling feats of shapeshifting and stretching, but that doesn't mean he was great at using it.

They went at it! John had a couple inches of height on Satoshi, and Satoshi's putty-like legs seemed ready to give under his weight. It was all Satoshi could do to twist his legs underneath John, sliding underneath him; Satoshi winced as the cola from before sloshed within him, agitating his insides.

John grunted, turning to Satoshi. He tensed his arms and began to approach, eager to corner Satoshi. It was time to pin him... and Satoshi had his back turned!

But unbeknownst to John, Satoshi was taking on his secret weapon: feverishly unwrapping the mints, he packed them all into his mouth and swallowed, feeling the lumps trickle down his throat. Satoshi turned to John, ready to dodge some more, until...

Gurgle... Satoshi's stomach wrenched as a reaction took place. John paused, gawking as Satoshi's limbs began to wobble.

"What'd you do??" John blustered as Satoshi forced a confident smile, his body trembling as hot energy bounced in his stomach, extending to his extremities. His gut began to inflate like a balloon; his hips would soon follow, swelling past John's height in a matter of moments... and then Satoshi's head hit the ceiling as he grew further still, his arms and legs outstretched as his stomach demanded as much attention on his growing body as it could.

John had no room to get away as Satoshi's pliable form shifted to take up the interior of the room. The red-clad lad began to teether over, and John was stuck between a reinforced wall and a soft place!

Squish! Satoshi's rubbery body creaked as it expanded to fill the cracks of the room, his gut pressing John into the wall. John grunted, trying to push Satoshi back, but he was too big, and John was pinned down; John could only push against Satoshi's overstretched suit, squeaking like balloon rubber.

"Haha! I pinned you!" Satoshi bragged. "I win!~"

"Grr!" John grunted. "That's cheating! You couldn't face me like a man!? C'mon, get offa me!~"

"Only if you call me the winner!" Satoshi exclaimed. "You're in my house, and superpowers are allowed in the... in the... the..."

Satoshi trailed off, an ominous rumbled in his tummy. He grimaced, stretching his neck to look at his stomach, now the size of a car; the surface trembled forebodingly, and he could feel a terrible something coming on.

His eyes turned to the nearest window. Satoshi outstretched his neck, zipping past John and through the window frame, pressing his head through the most minute gap, and popping his head off the side. His mouth flattened, feeling a force coming up his neck. He couldn't contain it any longer!

BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP!!!

Satoshi let out a cacophanous belch, echoing across the neighbourhood like a bomb had gone off! Bird fluttered away from the nearby trees, startled by the abrupt sound.

"Satoshiiii!" His mother called out. "Mind your manners! Cover your mouth when you burp, we have company!"

"S-sorry Mom!" Satoshi blushed, smacking his lips as the aftertaste of sugar and mind assaulted his tastebuds. That seemed to have helped release some of the building pressure in his body. Feeling his body start to go slack, he retracted his neck...

...Only to come back to the sounds of the game playing again. He turned his head to the screen, blinking.

"Huh? Why am I at the checkpoint?" He tilted his head, his expanded body still taking up much of the room, but slowly shrinking.

"Look," John pointed at the controller, next to Satoshi's foot. "Your foot bumped the controller when you were exploding like that. You unpaused the game..."

John realized the trust of his own works, and smirked. He stood up, pressing a finger on Satoshi's forehead and pushed it back down, so that his next retracted proper.

"You died, Satoshi! It's my turn to play!~" He cackled, zipping to the controller before Satoshi could react.

"Aw, really? Darn it..." Satoshi chuckled. "Alright, you can play for a bit."

It wasn't bad to watch his friend play, either. Satoshi was really good at video games after all, and coaching seemed to come naturally to him. It felt good being the teacher instead of the student for once.

As Satoshi slowly resettled back into his skinny regular form, the kids continued to advance through level after level, exchanging the controller, and having a great time.
