Part 1

Sundays were Celes' favourite day of the week. It meant that she could take some time off from running her boutique and get out on the town. She rather liked having company, most of the time, but she wanted to break into a new book.

She picked a cozy spot by the pier overlooking the harbour on the edge of town, and settled down; nothing beat a cool drink on a hot day, and the breeze was a delight against her slimy, purple skin. Celes was a slime-woman, and her body's characteristics tended to attract strange looks; but she knew how to enjoy herself, and was better equipped to treat herself when she needed it.

"Mmmmyaaaaaah..." Celes yawned, stretching her hands over her head, their length casually doubling in length, before springing back to her lap. She leaned back and raised her knees, tapping the heel of her rubber boot against the ground. As she reclined, her foot slipped free of her boot; she smiled, wiggling her toes—Celes had only recently figured out how to reform her feet—and crossed her legs as she laid back under the shade of a parasol.

Adjusting the gloves on her hands and tilting her sunhat, Celes flipped open her book, letting it settle in her lap, and settled in for a relaxing afternoon. She inhaled deeply of the tangy seaside air, smiling to herself and relaxed... her body seemed to shift to the contours of the curved bench, and droplets of purple slime dripped over the side...

Rumble rumble...

Celes was really getting into the story (it was getting rather emotional... and steamy) when she felt the earth tremble slightly. She grimaced, closing the book as she glanced around, bringing her legs closer to her chest. There were other folks nearby that were similarly confused...

...Celes' eyes were drawn towards the harbour. It was looking... greener than usual. Like lime soda.

...The surface of the water began to shudder, and then, in a matter of moments...

FOOOOOOOOOSH!!!

Celes yelped as a massive green, translucent hand broke through the surface of the water, looming over the harbour. The people around her broke into a frenzy, trying to get away, but Celes was frozen in terror as the hand rose far, far above her. Seaweed, discarded fishnets, and other detritus clung to the green form as a defined hand reached upwards, fingers wrapping around the highest floor of one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city.

Celes rose from her chair, her lower body plopping to the ground and forming a makeshift pillar of slime as more of the colossal green mass rose from the harbour; it cast a long-stretching green shadow over the city below, light from the sun filtering through its green-tinted body. And as it continued to rise from the water, Celes staggered (or perhaps shifted) backwards, as the creature continued to tower higher and higher, using the skyscraper to pull itself to its full, incredible height... it might've been over a hundred meters tall, and its lower body wider than several blocks!

But Celes studied the enormous creature, a look of astonishment and realization. The curves of its body stuck out underneath those layers of seaweed and netting, and the globules on its head suggested a humanoid appearance... Was this a giant-sized slime person? Like Celes herself, except... not nearly as petit and cute.

"HEY!! YOU'RE GONNA FLOOD THE CITY!!!" Celes waved her arms frantically above her head, stretching them over head and even inflating the palms of her hands to get her attention. But it was no use, the creature couldn't hear her.

Celes grimaced, watching as a wave of green ooze slowly flooded the streets, and soon would flood the pier as well. She glanced behind her, witnessing the nearby skyscraper.

Celes furrowed her eyebrows; if she was going to get this creature's attention, she'd need a higher vantage point. She lashed her arms forward and grabbed an upper ledge, pulling taut before flinging herself in a wide arc over a crowded city street below. She was approaching the side of the skyscraper, tensing her arms...

SPLAT! Celes huffed, adhering to the side of the building. Her hands and feet morphed into rudimentary suction cups as she crawled up the side; whenever she saw a pole, she'd lash out, and fling herself up again!

She was making good progress! 10 meters off the ground... another 159 to go...

The colossal green slime did have a name. It had been a long time since Feza had broken free of the crushing weight of the ocean. The inky blackness of the deep and the icy cold water... Feza was excited to see something new!

And what a curious sight she had found! She gawked over the skyscraper, pressing a slimy finger down on the lightning rod protruding from the top. Her entire green form giggled with excitement as the steel needle pierced through her finger. It was a funny looking thing, and Feza did like finding things as big as her... it seemed to occupy all her attention, rather than the streets below sprawling with panicked people and flooding streets.

"...?"

Feza tilted her head as she more fully examined the skyscraper. There was something small and purple clinging to the otherwise concrete exterior...

Feza leaned down to get a better look... there was a strange, small purple person, limbs outstretched. Feza spotted the pretty blue eyes of the purple stranger, her head turning to face her... she let out a squeak, like a pet would!

Feza prodded the purple creature, her green finger fully enveloping the little purple person.

"!?" Fez was instantly taken by the strange, yet familiar texture of the creature's skin... it was slimy, just like her! Was she a friend like her? Maybe she'd know where her sister was?? She was very curious, sensing more of Celes' texture as she rubbed her between her index finger and thumb; she was so soft, and she turned into a little purple ball so easily!

Feza raised her palm, the small purple slime girl allowed to sloooooowly drop towards her open hand. The little creature was durable, but she moved like molasses; Feze wiggled her index finger, the size of a luxury cruiser, to coax Celes along; she splattered into the palm of her hand, stirring restlessly...

"Ah... agrhr... hack, plgbt..." Celes, formlessly shifting, pulled herself together and wiped herself off, still coated within a thin layer of Feza's slime. Her body tingled and trembled, absorbing some part of it within herself... Celes spat, feeling gross and waterlogged; the giant slime woman reeked of sea rot.

"...UWAH!?" Celes exclaimed as she looked beneath her, through Feza's translucent form. She was MILES above the ground, and supported only by a Kaiju-sized monster girl! She slowly raised her head, coming face to face with the curious look of a slime woman... Feza stared expectantly at her.

Celes trembled, her hands lowering to fix her sundress. Her sunhat was lopsided... She took a deep breath and quickly adjusted.

"Okay, um, listen... miss, um..." Celes raised a pointed finger but paused. She wanted to choose her words carefully, respectfully, considering this colossal slime woman could crush her so easily...

"Miss um... I'm sorry, I don't know your... name?" Celes tilted her head... best to get off on the right foot with colossal beings of immense power. The green slime stared blankly... and her lips shifted silently. Her jaw unhinged with the exaggerated movements. Celes winced, wondering if she was getting ready to eat her, but the giant slime woman seemed to be... enunciating something? Speaking without words, mouthing silently...

Celes tried to read her lips...

"Eeeee... Ahhh... Ee-ya? Iya? No that isn't... it doesn't feel right..." She folded her arms.

Celes was no good at lip-reading. She felt like the woman's name was on the tip of her tongue, the faintest speck of memory, but... Celes gave up, and decided to change gears. The city was in terrible danger, after all...

"The people here are very, um... delicate, you see, so, you see... at your size, you'd cause a stir, so maybe, um, instead of going through the city you could-"

Sploit. Celes' train of thought was interrupted by Feza extending a finger to prod at her torso; with even the slightest bit of force, it was enough for Celes to lose her shape with a yelp. Feza giggled, her shoulders bouncing and jiggling as she pressed down on Celes, stirring her around in her palm... a puddle of purple slim mixed with her lime green flesh...

"EXCUSE ME!!" A tiny shrill voice blared as a tendril of purple slime rose up from the gunk, a hand forming at the end to press its palm against Feza's finger. The rest of Celes' body rose up, her face a dirty scowl, gritting her teeth as her purple body shuddered, absorbing more of the reactive green goo.

"I'm not some TOY you can poke and prod! I have a NAME!" Celes shouted. "Celes Pettigrew! And YOU..."

Celes paused to take a breath, outstretching her arm to grab for her sunhat. She affixed it to her head, and raised a pointed finger to Feza.

"And YOU'RE causing a civil PANIC! You're FLOODING THE STREETS!! I think I saw some cars and boats wedged underneath you!" Celes' hair flared up on its own as Feze looked over Celes quizzically.

"There's a WHOLE OCEAN you could swim in, arooooooound the city!?" Celes gestured, stretching her arms all around her for emphasis. "Without causing mass property damage and hysteria!? You have no idea what you- ugh, let go!!"

Feza's other hand hovered near Celes, trying to gently tug at the fragile little thing's pretty little sundress... which caused Celes to slide across the palm of her hand. Celes yanked the hem of the sundress out of Feza's extended fingers, her cheeks puffing.

"Do you understand that this isn't just about you!? I'm the only slime woman in the city, and it took YEARS to get everyone used to me! Now you're here and they're all gonna- H-HEY!!"

Feza cooed, taking Celes' sunhat. Celes fumed, taking a breath to let off some more steam all over again... but she paused as Feza raised it to her head. The sunhat was wholly inadequate for her voluminous head, but the sight gave Celes pause... Feza's form seemed to slouch as she tried to wear it over and over...

"H-hey... you like that hat?" Celes blinked. She outstretched her arm, upwards and over, to gently grab the hat from Feza; the giantess frowned, but silently obliged. Celes clutched the hat in her hands... lowering it to her head, she clutched the hem of her dress.

"Do you... like what I'm wearing...?" Celes asked. She paused, and then did a little twirl... it was a touch wobbly, considering as her legs had fused into a slime pillar, but Feza seemed enamoured with the display, smiling wider.

"Would you... want a hat too?" Celes gulped, realizing the scope of the work it would take. "And... and a dress...?"

Feza nodded enthusiastically. She reached again, tugging playfully at the hem of Celes' skirt. The last of Celes' anger ebbed away; maybe this slime really didn't know any better. And now she just felt like a jerk.

Celes was thinking of what to do. It would take a lot of work, but she could save the city from being flattened by a slime giantess. She just needed some time.

"I-I can make you something." Celes nodded. "I... I have the tools in my shop, I can get them! Can you... let me down?"

Celes gestured with her hands. Feza nodded, and lifted Celes over to the lip of the skyscraper rooftop... Celes glanced over with a grimace, she was too high up.

"L...lower." Celes croaked. "To the ground."

Feza paused... then nodded, and bent over. Celes yelped, shifting and clutching to Feza's thumb for dear life; she wasn't sure if her slimy body could handle a fall from such a height, and she wasn't eager to find out.

Feza lowered Celes onto the pier once more. Celes mumbled a "thank you", scrambling for the things she left behind. She quickly put her boots back on, kicking the soles against the ground; sliding across town like a slug wouldn't be ideal...

"Okay!" Celes turned to Feza. "I'm going back to my shop to get a few things. You stay here and wait for me, okay?"

Feza stared blankly.

"Okay??" Celes insisted. Feza nodded slowly. Celes took a deep breath, and darted off.

Feza rose up again, watching the tiny purple figure dart down the streets. From such a vantage point, the tiny purple slime woman sure darted back and forth.

...Feza raspberried, quickly getting bored with waiting. After a couple minutes, she began to lurch deeper towards the city's center, following Celes from a distance...
