Video Update - 5/17/2024
Added 2024-05-17 15:40:14 +0000 UTCAlright... just posted a new update, and it's looking good so far. I'm also trying to let the music tell part of the story, but when there's a break in the chorus and verses, I'll have monologues from Max, but I'll definitely make this scene more intense. On top of that, expect to see some great things in the next upcoming update.

Ah, I see, that does make sense. :) I'm really looking forward to how things will evolve and what Max has to say herself. :D PS: The name sounds somewhat familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it. :P

Anyhow, since they're starting, I wanted to give a feel that to the festival, it's a big thing that Chief Sajanto is taking over. So, in a sense, Max is caught up in the moment. But the song pretty much ends right after update ends. So we'll have more monologue from Max now that she realized the man who she was afraid of the most is more than likely be her actually first. On top of that, now that Max's narrative is more focused, I'll probably change the music style back to electronica/electropop with tribal percussive beats.

However, for my personal taste it should not "overwhelm" the actual storytelling via Max's monolgs. A good compromise would be to have the verses/chorus play out clearly (i.e. without voice interruption) once each and make the rest of the scene being told via "true" voicelines as you did before. That way it won't get repetitive and you have plenty of room for individual dialogs/monologs (which, at least to me, gives a much deeper feeling to the story – espacially Max's voice reciting what is happening makes this content really stand out compared to other creator's). Additionally this method will still present the music and the lyrics in a way it doesn't feel redundant, but not too dominant at the same time. :) In the current version (if I listened correctly) the first two music segments do have different lyrics and so they are good as they are, but the third one appears to be identical to the previous segment (meaning: no additional information through the lyrics), which is why I would add more true voicelines to that part. But of course you said that you plan to make this scene more intense so you might have already considered the things I just mentioned yourself. :) I hope I could help you with that and of course I'm greatly looking forward to the next update. :)
