Hoo boy, it has been a HOT minute since we've had one of these. Did you know that it's actually tough to make video games??? That it's actually hard work??? I'm here to tell you that is exactly what it is, and I have the skipped Patreon post and the longer development times to prove it.

There have been a few developmental snags in the road that we didn't really see coming, mainly in the nature of scheduling and work constraints. A lot of the SB team also works on VE proper along with their own projects, so the more things there are to do, the more things there are to obviously coordinate and factor into a release window.

We've had to make some tough calls and big decisions, mainly in terms of when these bad boys pop out of the work oven. We're looking at new volumes every three to four weeks rather than every two weeks. Which isn't terrible, especially considering the quality everything turns out with. Everybody works very hard, sometimes even too hard, and we don't want crunch to outplay genuine production.

So these posts may be a little more sporadic than planned. I'll definitely still be AIMING for every two volumes but with EOA2 on the way among other things (namely the next two VEMT projects), future posts will probably be more like this one than the first one.

So we're going to lightning round these, volume by volume, with sprite sketches first where applicable, then background sketches, with some unused content at the end and art credits. Sound good? Sounds good.

Two unused Bytcon sprites. There was also one of him fixing his tie, but it has been lost into the void.

A differently styled Endari sprite, more along the lines of the other sprites shown up until that point. Scrapped for being too difficult to pose and model consistently.

Unused helmetless Oricka sprites, only unused because they didn't have a line they fit in with by the time the final script was drafted.

Alt. version of Occeus's endcard, which features Ellsee more prominently.

And that's all she wrote folks. Not EVERY asset made it onto this devpost as some of the artists have already posted it to their Twitters and other various places of social media, which is why they aren't shown here.
