While we were making our now legendary Christmas covers album (available to download on here just in case you missed it) we couldn't decide on which songs to include. We knew they all had to be UK Christmas Number 1 singles and that they couldn't be Christmassy, so we got up the wikipedia page of UK Christmas number ones and we had a vote using strawpoll.

And there was one song, 2 Become 1 by the Spice Girls, that 3/4 of the band voted for (it was the most popular song), but one member of the band decided he hated the song so much he couldn't do it. Which we thought was a shame.

So we started a new band and recorded it. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce our new music project Area 8.25, featuring Sparkles*, Parv and Leo. We're only releasing this one song, but we have high hopes. As this band takes off, it may be difficult to split our time with 8.25 and 11, so we'll have to see what happens. I hope that we can keep both bands going, but don't worry, 8.25 takes priority.

But as I said, there is only going to be one song. I can't imagine it's going to hold us back though. We're thinking of doing an hour's set where we play it 20 times. Tour tickets on sale soon.
