[PATRON REWARD] Weekly Update - August 18th, 2019

So, I'm in the Bay areas in California. Just took this picture.
Since I won't be in the office for another week or so, there's not gonna be much of an update. I'll be kicking back and working on my long term project for now.
You'll get to know this long term project eventually.
About the channel:
- Last episode got some good response from everyone. A lot of people shared their font memories with me, and a lot of recommendations dug up my long forgotten nostalgia. It doesn't matter how this video will perform in terms of views, I think I'm happy.
- I think, for the one year anniversary video, I'll just listen to you guys. What other movies should I watch before I die? Let's make a community list, and maybe I'll get to watch some films I have never heard of.
- The next episode, the one about In the Mood for Love is already done and uploaded. I'll go up in two weeks. Script will be uploaded tomorrow.
About Recent Interests:
- Just beat Fire Emblem Three Houses a few days ago. Blue Lion route.
- Before Accented Cinema is a thing, I thought about starting a video game channel, mainly doing video analysis on game stories. (My main interest in film is also script writing, so there are some overlaps).
- Fire Emblem is the types of game I wanted to talk about. Death in the series has not been relevent since... Forever, really. Permanently losing one of your character may impact one of your team members may impact gameplay, but the barely existing story rarely reacts.
- Then comes Three Houses, where death is part of the story. Characters either die as your teammate, or die as your enemy. It's crushing yet numbing, but that sense of unease lingers, long after you dealt that killing blow.
- Worse yet, one enemy character was spared by me and recruited after the war, casting doubt on all my killings. Could I have spare the others, too?
- Japan, after WWII, really knows how to write about the crult nature of war.
About Life Stuff:
- Yep. Bay Area, San Francisco.
- A lot of fans are local to this area and offers gifts I if happens to pass by. You guys are freaking amazing.
- No, I don't plan on doing any fan meet ups. I probably won't ever do a meet up, unless I happens to attend Vidcon or something. Socializing makes me very uncomfortable. Hope you understand.
It's only during this time off, I took some time to self-reflect, and I realize that this channel is now my main source of income.
I still take the occasional film production jobs. But as far as my main job as a wedding videographer... Those days are behind me, and I cannot be more grateful for it.
Weddings may be high income, but it's also soul crushing. For an artist that seeks creativity, weddings is freakishly monotone... Seriously, I can literally take the bride from one wedding and the groom from another wedding from an unrelated photographer, and their video will match.
Talking to you guys is much, much nicer.
So thank you for being here and support this channel, and support me in the process. There are still so many idea I want to share. Not to mention, that side project thing.
I have a lot of things in the work that I can't wait to announce. I'll see you next time.
