Currently editing this month's bonus video about BlacKkKlansman. Part of the video discusses how people can read any meaning they wish from a film. As many film scholars would say, authorial intent doesn't matter.
One example I used is the cult classic They Live. As you can see from this tweet... yeah.
Knowing this, I hope my bonus video sheds some light on why BlacKkKlansman is the way it is, why people call it a propaganda piece.
