Commission Applications Poll

Next week, we are planning to open two commission slots. With this, we want to make some changes.
We wish to introduce an application system for limited commission slots. We see many other artists do it that way and it seems more practical than utilizing first-come, first-serve, or even an RNG wheel spin that decides it. The applications will gather all of the information for the commission that we would need, and make it much easier to evaluate.
However, with this, we wanted to ask for your opinion. Personally, we would want to hand-pick the commission from the applications because it would feel more natural that way given the state of applications. With that, I want to make a statement. We are thankful to each and every patron we have. Whether you spend $3 a month, or $250, we appreciate you all equally - the only thing that is different between those tiers are the perks. So nobody gets any special treatment that is different from any other patron, regardless of lifetime patroange or whatever. With this, if we hand-pick commissions, we will only be looking at the OCs and the requests within the commission application as our choice - not the name of the person that submitted it or the amount of money they have given. I felt that statement was necessary just in case some patrons felt that were the case.
And with that announcement, we still want to hear what you all think. If we did applications, would you be okay with Mirror hand-picking what she would prefer to work on, or do you want the applications to be randomly chosen?
