Hi! -As many of you probably know, FaceRig is a Vtuber stream program that was free to use in the Steam community. I came to FaceRig back in 2015. Ever since, I always found CRYPTIC (to say the least) to read how to properly import a model that can actually work in the application, let alone the custom files that needed to trigger your own custom actions.
I decided to "RE-WRITE" the user manual to be "human-readable" and so that you (if you have previous 3D experience) understand what is to do. If you don't have much 3D experience, the terms in which the manual will be re-written will help you search relatable terminology in google so you can actually understand what it is required for your model to work with the face tracking.
I will be doing this available for all of you as a reward in the months ahead.
Personally I would let this application alone now in 2021, since ANIMAZE is the sucessor application born from the things FaceRig learned from the customer base.
But! From time to time, I still find a LOT of posts (specially in Asia, Russia and some parts of the U.S.A.) where there are big paying jobs requiring a 3D model in FaceRig.
What all this means to you? -You'll be getting a fully understandable User Guide. You will be able to create 3D models in Blender COMPATIBLE with FaceRig so you can have another source of income by creating facial and body tracking avatars for this platform whenever they post commission work.
Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.
Thanks!
-Pierre.
