Hi, awesome Patreon. As you know, after the painterly shader, I really wanted to build the cloth shader. This is because I am planning to release it with controls that will help you with different cloth properties like proper (painterly) wrinkles, stitches and many other organic things. In this first "draft", my reference is a military cloth since those have the most tear-and-wear usage. But I'm still searching for the perfect balanced style. I don't want it to look "3d-cg-ish". 😅
On the latest news about the production of Attack on Titan, you might know the studios teamed up with the creators of Dorohedoro to bring the colossal titans for the rumble scenes. They're post producing at the moment, and this twitt thread even mentions that they are having a hard time to come up with proper layering solutions (meaning that they want to put a lot of titans into one scene but rendering is getting complex and heavy).
The above case illustrates why we as Blender artists could be an emergent solution to such specific scenes to provide services. Who knows? Maybe they will take additional CGI studio's help.
