✅ Sketchfab toon shader

On to our subject. 

For almost 5 years, I've been keeping a close eye to Sketchfab, since it's a dedicated 3D viewer platform as a direct competitor of Marmoset viewer (Artstation's preferred 3D viewing model). Marmoset is a paid application which allows you to post on the web with the latest Open GL shader's properties. Every time Marmoset viewer updates, 3D artists get awesome new looks to display.

Sketchfab is a 3D website that has it's own 3D object viewer. Unfortunately there are a lot of limitations in terms of Stylized Toon shading. I've personally covered some of these issues regarding shaders with Bart Veldhuizen, back in 2018, 2020, and now 2022. I believe 2 years span to check for new implementations in their platform is a fair spare time.

But reality hits hard, and there are some buildblocks already there which is why I put together this quick guide that I will be updating until the end of MARCH, along with a video so you can have a clear guideline to setup your toon shading model in Sketchfab from Blender 3.1+.

Please bear in mind this document will be FINISHED by the end of MARCH. This is to see if any of the GLTF issues or the Sketchfab issues I've reported come to a solution from the developers themselves.

Also, I've tried their Sketchfab export addon for Blender: Broken. I reported it already since I'm using Blender 3.2, 3.1, 3.

Yes, it will let you export Principled shader materials, and textures with no problem. But if you want to export TOON SHADING, welp, I bet you'd want to consider some points in the guide I'm writting.
