A coupla sad bastards do some day drinking. What's on the menu? Rum! But ALSO:
+ The final piece for the rainbow zine with the carnival! I'm so stoked, it's already very pretty, but I'm a sucker for yellow, so I'm biased
+ Gonna finish up the blanket fort because I picked a really nice sherbety palette
+ More Candy Tongue! At LEAST another page, more if I can swing it
+ A shop update! I have a handful of new prints and those cute acrylic pins I completely forgot to put up in March
+ Mayyybe... possiblyyy... something in the way of a pirate or two??
For the record: I really dragged my feet on watching Our Flag Means Death because of the tsunami of fan hype. But I'm a big fan of Taika Waititi's stuff and I knew it was gonna be good, and it is. (I haven't colored gray hair since my days of drawing Raja Gemini and I missed it, it's so beautiful.) But I'm realizing right away that it feels really limited what you can do with the characters from OFMD, whereas the ineffables can be anything, anywhere, any time. Crowley & Aziraphale own my heart, but pirates can crash on the couch occasionally.
If you would like me to put "OFMD" in the post title of pieces that involve it, please let me know and I will. I still have it muted on social media so I don't get completely overwhelmed, and I understand anyone who wants to avoid it!
