Added 2020-09-10 14:08:54 +0000 UTCSo, I didn't expect to feel this strongly against Mulan 2020. I expected it to be soulless (which it is), like the new Lion King . I expected it butcher the story with virtue signaling (which it does), like the new Beauty and the Beast.
But I did not expect the film to goes absolutely counter to everything Mulan is stood for. The progressive message. The inclusive nature. The empowerment. Nothing! It has nothing!! All it has, is a harmful message.
Sorry for being negative. But allow me to justify my frustration in this... Jesus, 18 minutes!?
