Never played Magic or Warhammer, but I worked at GameStop for entirely too long and my god Magic players take the cake for the worst people, and not just for being smelly

Henry

I haven’t played 40k or been to any sci-fi conventions, but I’ve played a lot of magic and a lot of smash, and magic wins by a landslide between those two. Magic players are so much smellier.

Connor Voydat

40k easily wins the stink war. As a former player of both 40k and MtG, i stand by my statment. Some of the dudes i used to play against had me wanting to forfeit just to escape the smell.

Another fun bit of Pittsburgh based labor history is the pressed steel car company strike/riot. Happened just west of town and the strikers actually got concessions

skinflautist

That checks out. I think that within the game the effect of "Invoke Prejudice" is extremely spot on to the real-life effects of prejudice. You cast it and all the player's creatures start shooting themselves in the foot by resorting to racism and ethnic cleansing.

A Guy

Fun (?) Fact about the "Invoke Prejudice" Magic card: according to one of the comments on the Gatherer database, the artist is a straight-up nazi. Wizards stopped using his work not long after Ice Age.

Nicholas Faubert

Fuck the Pinkertons and all that obviously but does anyone else think it's weird that Alan Pinkerton died under mysterious circumstances in that plane crash?

Jordan Y Clementi

Have read a big chunk of the Unabomber manifesto, can confirm that it’s got a lot of insane race war shit.
