Shared fruit
Added 2021-02-14 18:33:59 +0000 UTCI saw this post on Tumblr that was like a collection from novels and stuff, about how there's this literary tradition of expressing the love between friends through the sharing of fruit, specifically oranges. I, a dummy, didn't reblog it, so it's somewhere in the Tumblr ether, but I loved that so much that I gave Sweet Hereafter a theme of oranges.
I did save this other post, though, and this, perhaps my favorite quote on friendship and why it's every bit as important and wonderful as romantic love, and sometimes inextricably entwined:

2021-02-16 19:58:21 +0000 UTC"A little life" is a book that changed my life, and seeing such a beautiful drawing inspired by it made me extremely emotional when I saw it on the phone and now that I'm on my computer it's even better ;_____; their faces are so relaxed, so comfortable, and there's such a sweet atmosphere around them ;_;
