WIP: this year's DTIYS!

It's a parody of the cover of Carter Beats the Devil by Glen David Gold, a book which had a big influence on me as a young adult, and which stars a magician. How could I resist?
Important to note that this is NOT a coloring page -- I may still make some tweaks to this. I'll make a coloring page available in October! I'll be posting this to the public on October 1, for those who would like to tackle this DTIYS. And by the way, as always, there won't be any deadline, and any kind of take on this would be enthusiastically welcome. I've had art, fic, cosplay, even MUSICAL takes on my DTIYSs of the past, and it thrills me to absolute pieces, so even if you think you want to participate but you don't draw, there are lots of fun options.
