Would you still support a slow transition to Blender?
Added 2020-06-09 18:43:58 +0000 UTCThis is sort of a rhetorical question BUT I figured I'd ask for curiosities sake. If I were to just completely drop SFM and switch to Blender, would you still remain pledged on patreon?
The biggest thing this would mean is a huge drop in amount of content released. Let's say for example, instead of an animation every week, it's every two weeks at least for now until I get a better workflow down. Blender is infinitely more complex than SFM is. Combine that with the fact that I've worked in SFM for a few years now so I'm very use to navigating around and I know how to work around it. Where as Blender I'm still learning so even basic things can take up more time.
I most likely wouldn't actually take this route, I would probably just do what I'm currently doing which is slowly learn Blender on the side while still putting out content with SFM to keep everyone happy. On the other hand, knowing people would still support me if there was a drop in content would make that transition easier, but I completely understand why people would stop supporting me, so don't feel bad if you put down "no" on this.
Again, not saying this will happen, even if this poll got overwhelming support I would probably just continue the same way I've been going about it but it might skew me towards learning it faster. And again if you're curious about the differences between SFM and Blender then just compare my normal stuff to this one blender animation I did.
