October Progress Report

In this video, I discuss the progress that I was able to make during the first two weeks of October. My time was spent in the following ways:

  1. Writing Osana's story, designing her events, and writing the hundreds of lines of dialogue necessary for her story/events.
  2. Investigating what things are negatively impacting the game's framerate, researching possible solutions, and attempting to do everything I could to improve the framerate.
  3. Implementing a Settings Menu.
  4. Implementing Pose Mode.

THANK YOU. I'm glad to finally have a settings menu! Might be a little idea to let people pick the colour of silhouettes, which leads me into something I've wanted to mention for a while: Many games forget that colourblind people such as myself can't tell what colours they're using, and as someone who enjoys games with character customization, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could add labels to colours when / where we can choose them. Can't really enjoy my emerald & apple greens when I'm confusing them for yellow. ^^; Also really happy for Pose Mode. I can finally fix the characters' hands & feet being too small!

I hope that yan sim makes it far into actually being a game in a short period of time i mean how would yandere dev be abel to make this game so great on his own? No offense by the way to yandere dev im pretty sure he would do it even without help :D

I was thinking the same. Rip-offs that look very similar are rather easy to make when the main character is basically an asset in the unity shop. On the other hand though, Yandere-Chan and Rival-Chan basically the two most memorable characters. Personally I wouldn't even mind if it maintains the unity store assets of Yandere-Chan or Rival-Chan.

I'm very pleased with this update, though I hope that the pose mode in it's current form is not final. Don't get me wrong, I like it very much and with it you reach absurd numbers of possibilities, but you can't animate Yandere-Chan or objects or freeze the game, or have a free flying camera. Nonetheless, I enjoy it and many others do so too. :) Good job ^^ Unimportant sidenote: Why can't "Enter" in this Patreon comment box be the key for starting a new line? I literally just pressed enter twice noticing that it just sent the message instead of doing a new line ._. Like, gg Patreon.

When the game is done, will there be fully original character models instead of just Unity assets? I understand the need for them during development, but I hope they'll be replaced in the final product.

well at least this will give a lot of poeple an idea of how to make a horror game out of this.

Maybe once Unity fully supports Vulkan, this will be of some help regarding FPS problems.
