New Characters, New Clubs, New Task
Added 2018-08-18 19:08:17 +0000 UTCHey! Sorry for the long wait between the previous video and the current one. Like with the previous big update (July Progress Report) I wanted to let a bunch of cool stuff pile up before making a new video.
As of now, the school's population is only about 5 ~ 10 students away from becoming complete! Once it's complete, I'll move on to the remaining features that the game requires, such as the guidance counselor, reactions to blood pools, improved framerate, etc.

This is because I think that, if someone witnessed murder in real life, they'd probably be shocked for a short amount of time before they actually took action. "Hero" students take action after (after 1 second) and if school atmosphere is low, then students take action (fleeing or fighting) faster. It's possible that I might reconsider this and rebalance this in the future. As for running speed, yeah, it's another thing to consider. Being able to run faster than a witness means that witnesses stand almost no chance of escape...but if the player and NPCs run at the same speed, the player will never be able to catch and stop witnesses. It's a tricky balance to try and find.

2018-08-19 16:40:32 +0000 UTCHey Yan Dev, while watching the video I noticed how long it took for the cooking club member to actually begin to run away when she witnessed a corpse and it got me wondering if that time would ever be decreased in the final game? And while I'm on the topic of running away, as it is now Yan Chan is faster than everyone in the game with the exception of teachers and delinquents (I think). Will she be made to be the same speed as every other NPC until she gets a speed boost from class or another club? Great Update by the way :3
