Recently, an exceptionally talented 3D artist has been creating models and textures to improve or replace many of Yandere Simulator's most lackluster assets. Their latest target was the Occult Club - a part of the game that hasn't had any new assets made for it since 2015! After 7 years, this club was definitely due for an upgrade, especially since it's one of the most unique and iconic places in the school.

Above, you'll see that the ceiling, floor, walls, chairs, curtains, carpet, tables, candles, bookshelves, tapestries, and skulls have been completely remade. That's EVERY asset in the room! Wow! What an overhaul!

Also attached to this post, you'll see a 3D render that was generated of the new Occult Club. This render wasn't generated within Unity; it was made with "Cinema 4D," but I wanted to include it in this post anyway. I do think it looks substantially better in the render, though. I know how I'd get it to look that way - darkening the lights when the player enters the room, using a lightmap to make the room feel like it's illuminated by the candles, adding particle effects for each candle, adding a subtle post-processing effect to the camera when the player is in the room...but I worry that some of these effects would impact the game's framerate, so I'm hesitant to start pouring an enormous amount of time into making the in-game Occult Club match the render.

Still, even without all those fancy effects, the new Occult Club is a massive upgrade over the old one. I hope you like it!
