The portly gentleman above will be featured in Kizana's Befriend/Betray elimination method. If you're familiar with the Characters page of the official Yandere Simulator website, you can probably recognize him. The environment of Kizana's B/B stealth mission is likely to be quite obvious at this point, but I hope you'll still look forward to learning the specifics!
Currently, the "Taro meets Kizana" cutscene takes place in the exact same location as the "Taro meets Amai" cutscene. This is not what I wanted; I would like for all "Taro meets the next rival" cutscenes to take place in unique environments. So, I requested a new environment for the "Taro meets Kizana" cutscene - it's a movie theater. Kizana will encounter Taro and speak to him for the first time outside of this building. The cutscene isn't ready yet, but having the environment helps immensely!
(Don't worry, there will be more than one movie poster in the final version of this environment.)

2024-09-02 19:11:00 +0000 UTCFor Mida, I guess you could make it so they have a conversation at lunchtime, since everyone is busy eating, where she takes him somewhere secluded, for example, the room where you usually kidnap someone or in the backstage area, and Ayano could use a directional microphone and spy on their conversations and record them, so at the end of the week, Ayano hand in all of the voice recordings to the Guidance Counsellor and get her fired or arrested.

I do want to add more events to her week, and to do it before I begin working on Kizana. I can *consider* giving the player the ability to create custom events for Custom Mode, but it would be a tricky feature to add, so I can't promise that it'll be added in the immediate future.

I had lots of fun playing her week, but the lack of events was kind of underwhelming. In my opinion, the most enjoyable part of a rival is the events they have with other students. I think her week is fine with the current events, but a couple more would definitely be a nice addition. The second question, along with the theme of events: Will it ever be possible to make custom events in custom mode? I think it would be really fun to create events between the rival and different characters, or make two completely different characters have an event where they talk about the player’s lore they created, or something like that.

I plan to add voices to Amai's week before beginning work on Kizana. By the way, "Plan" doesn't mean "It will happen" - it means "That's the current plan, as of right now, which might change."

You have never disappointed us, you have always satisfied our desires and reached our expectations, you have always given your best, despite this it has sometimes proved almost impossible given the lack of resources to create a game rich in detail. I respect you a lot, really a lot, I really see you as an idol, I'm sure that when the game is over no one will have anything to say, in fact everyone will regret what they said, because you made a fucking masterpiece! You managed to write such a complex story, full of details, full of twists and connections that surprises me more every day, and which probably would have certainly won an Oscar in the cinematographic field. Thank you for everything you have done and will do for us, thank you for the beautiful game you gave me, which allowed me to distract myself from the difficult school days, and which has now accompanied me since I was only 7 years old. There is no need to wait for the future, just see what has already been done to understand that you are a fucking master!

2024-07-08 21:59:15 +0000 UTCOf course, I understand very well what you are saying, in fact I would have seen this sharing method more for events such as the announcement of a rival, or perhaps to briefly illustrate what is missing to release a certain feature etc.. obviously, however, I can understand very well that you not appreciate the vibes of Tik Tok, and if so it would no longer be, as I thought, a way to cultivate your passion for videos/editing in an alternative way, but rather a compulsion!

I'd be more interested in some kind of "The counselor won't believe you unless she trusts you" system, where you have to do tasks for teachers or "good deeds" around school to earn the faculty's trust. Having a bare minimum reputation could also be a requirement.

Maybe it's because I'm an old man who has lost touch with what is hip and trendy, but I just can't imagine myself ever making TikTok videos. Maybe as an absolute last resort. I feel like a short video on TikTok showing new content (like the new Kizana/Senpai environment) would be underwhelming. But if I make a 20-minute video showing off 50 new additions to the game (including the Kizana/Senpai environment) then the video will be impressive. Get what I mean?

Also another idea I had is that maybe there would be a limit on how many students you can report - unless Ayano is part of the student council (or the disciplinary committee if you ever add one), in which case it would be considered part of her job.

Since, as I understand, you really love making videos on YouTube, but unfortunately due to the development of the game you can't reconcile the two things, why don't you make some short 4/5 minute videos on Tik Tok? Where you briefly explain your ideas about the near future of the game, where you explain what you have introduced, or where you update us on the future of development! It could be not only an opportunity to do what you like, but also an opportunity to make the game gain popularity, given that the pages on Tik Tok featuring Yandere Simulator get a lot of likes, a lot of views, and have a lot of followers! Then at least for me it would be a real pleasure to go back and watch your videos which are edited and structured very well, knowing that this isn't taking development time away from the game!

2024-07-08 14:33:54 +0000 UTCYeah...I suppose that, realistically, if *one student* kept on reporting girls and getting them expelled, the counselor should, logically, begin to suspend that this one student is framing the other students. Sometimes, I consider the idea that Ayano should be required to report her rivals anonymously. However, then we wouldn't see Ayano sitting in the counselor's room and interacting with her directly, and I feel like this would lower the game's production values. So, I feel like this is one of those situations where game design is more important than realism, and something unrealistic will be allowed to remain the game so that a game mechanic can remain the way it is.

I feel like animations can only be created *after* voice acting is done, because the animations would have to be synchronized to the voice acting. You couldn't do the animations first and the voice acting second. It doesn't work that way. The Kizana/Taro scene being released in the next build will be simple. It won't have new, unique animations - just a new environment. Musume and Kizana both aspire to be "the most popular girl in school" so they dislike one another. They rarely interact, and when they do, they are passive aggressive to one another. Thanks for your kind words, I appreciate it!

If you had someone make animation for amai's week & her B/B scene made for you and it didn't have a VC would you still implement it into the game? Since you're currently making the cutscene of when Kizana and Taro meet outside the movie theatre, will the scene just have text appear with the characters standing there or will there be a static animation? Are Museme and Kizana friends or foes to one another? Do they acknowledge one another or do they completely distance themselves? (I love that you are staying strong and continuing with Yandere Simulator's development you should be really proud of yourself!)

This is because, for gameplay reasons, the player needs immediate access to the information of what the rival and Senpai plan to do later that day. I think that Senpai and the current rival will always talk in the current location, or a location extremely close by it.

If so many bugs get reported that 90% of my development time has to be spent fixing bugs, I won't be able to spend much time making progress towards Kizana. But if almost no bugs get reported, then I can spend most of my time finishing the things that need to get done before Kizana, and working on Kizana. It also depends on a few other things that are kinda outside of my control.

I don't think I can use the diary idea, but I do have a few other ideas that I think will be a big improvement to her week.

Then this would allow the cooking club room to be more involved in the second week, and furthermore, starting from this event, I would also have an idea for a new bounty: Amai's lover on Tuesdays to get to know better the tastes of Amai and everything that concerns her will open that drawer, and Ayano will be able to complete a bounty by taking a photo and sending it to info-chan.

2024-07-02 19:57:26 +0000 UTCI'm sorry...I don't spend any time contemplating alternate versions of the characters who are fundamentally different. It would be like inventing a completely new character and new story. In 2014, I considered the idea that one of the rivals would be another yandere girl. I dropped this idea because it would be too weird to have one rival that operates completely differently from all other rivals. Like playing a racing game, except one track is suddenly a WW2 airplane battle instead of a car race. For 1980s Mode, I considered the idea of a rival named Gurumi who was studying to become a meteorologist. It would rain during her week, and her unique elimination method would be dying due to a lightning strike. This idea was scrapped for being too drastically different from everything else in 1980s Mode. Ryoba doesn't know that Sumire's ghost is still present at Akademi. The headmaster believes that Ryoba was most likely a serial killer, and fears that Ayano has inherited her mother's personality traits. He fears her enough to taze her if she approaches him. He wouldn't care about the consequences of doing so, since in his mind, it's necessary to preserve his life. He also believes that Mr. Saikou would find a way to help him escape legal consequences. Most Aishi are given the same traits (black hair, some type of ponytail) but I picture Ryoba's sister looking very different from the rest of the Aishi family, like she got more of her father's genes than her mother's genes. I'm not ready to reveal what she looks like, though. She is determined not to be a crappy mother (like her own mother was) so she'd try to be a good mom to her child.

Is there any rivals that you planned on adding but replaced them, if yes why and who? Does Ryoba know about Sumire's soul? Wouldn't headmaster using taser on Ayano would be a crime if she wasn't carrying any weapons and showed no violent behavior just because he was paranoid? Lastly, how is Ryoba's sister like in appearance and personality? Is she a good mum?

If a volunteer sends me an asset that I need (like the 3D renders for Ryoba's monologues), I will be super excited to get that asset into the game right away, and it will become the new top priority instantly. So, things will probably get done in order of whatever assets get delivered to me first. Otherwise, I will probably go in order of "quickest and easiest to implement" to "hardest and most time-consuming to implement."

Maybe we actually start from the outside from the asylum and its almost like Amai’s mission, we have to find a way in and the place outside is surrounded by the drugged up guys.
