Crusader - British Regiments Poll

Hey all!

So I'm currently finalizing the script for Operation Crusader, and I've come across a big problem. The problem is that British units are called things that they're actually not. This will get confusing in the battle/video. Let me explain -

The British have the Royal Tank Regiment - which is basically a training unit at home in Britain. This Regiment then sends out battalion-strength units to other fronts to fight. Great.

However, they don't call these battalions "battalions". Yes, it's stupid, but they call them "regiments". So, for example -

6th Royal Tank Regiment

And 4th Country of London Yeomanry Tank Regiment

However, these aren't regiments. As you can see by the double line at the top of the unit, these are battalions. But they're called regiments.

What it actually should be is "6th Battalion of the Royal Tank Regiment". But this is shortened down to be "6th Royal Tank Regiment". Same applies with the "4th Country of London Yeomanry Battalion of the Royal Tank Regiment".

Now, this isn't too bad on its own, but when you've got units moving around a map, and I'm saying things like "The Italian 132nd Tank Regiment counterattacked the 3rd Yeomanry Tank Regiment in the north" (which is actually a sentence from the script), then this is where things get confusing. The Italian 'Regiment' has three battalions, whereas the British 'regiment' is a battalion.

So in both instances, I'm saying the word "regiment", but one isn't actually a regiment. Therefore, I'm debating whether to change the British names to read "6th Royal Tank Battalion" instead (or, just "6th Battalion", but I don't think this would work). This then has the benefit of being less confusing, and anyone who knows about this can see what I've done. The downside is that it would be less-accurate to call them that.

I don't know if I should do this though. So I'm giving you the power to decide. Cast your votes! Should we keep the British units as "Regiments" even though this is technically wrong and things will probably get confusing? Or should I change the script to read "Battalions" even though this isn't what they were called, but will have the benefit of being the correct unit size? I've also included a third option which is for me to change them to the longer and unwieldy "6th Battalion of the Royal Tank Regiment". This isn't what the British called them, but it's accurate, but makes the script longer and I'll be saying a lot more words (thanks guys!). It's you choice - I'll go with whatever you think.
