RPG Consultations and Online Game for August 2022

If you have any RPG project or design question you want to discuss, I am happy to help! I've helped patrons with scenarios, campaigns, full games, and outlining projects so far and it's been a lot of fun for us! Title: Delta Green - The House that is Safe
Time: Tuesday August 23 at 6 pm CST
Players: 2 to 5 - pregens available but players may submit their own. All PCs must be civilians. No agents.
Synopsis: You are all friends who only have time to get together once a year. You've rented a nice and secluded house near the beach. This weekend's going to be great!

I neglected to add, Ross was also able to provide examples of other RPGs to check out to consider other mechanics and also some of the benefits and drawbacks of other games' approaches.

2022-08-02 22:28:54 +0000 UTCThis might sound a little "backhand," but it's absolutely not: I was surprised by how helpful I found Ross's consultation for me. We talked about a couple of projects, one I've done a lot of work on and one I've barely started on. I was kinda expecting just some encouragement and an appreciative ear, but Ross gave me a lot more: specific, practical advice on how to move forward on both of them. I think both projects are going to be noticeably improved thanks to his help.

I think having an appointed time to discuss the game really helped me focus to have a certain amount of work done, and, it made me practice how to pitch and explain the game. During the consultation itself, Ross was very approachable and thoughtful. He offered several pieces of actionable advice and helped create a path of next steps for my game and I.
