2024-06-01 14:14:45 +0000 UTC~tripld's Substrate Mix Trick ~ I have developed a very easy and mess-free way to make Coco Coir Substate! Works very well for me, I will share my secret method with you all. I've been doing it this way for year's. First of all you will need a few things, Fortunatly they're not very expensive. Quite cheap for the trouble they will save you. #1. Large Mesh Laundry Bag #2. 13 gal. Clear Sent Free Recycle Trash Bags. #3. 5 gal. Bucket with Lid (I use an empty Drywall Compound Bucket) How to do it. Make sure your bucket is clean and dry. Wipe inside with Alcohol ant let air dry a couple minutes. Now put your Mesh Laundry Bag inside your bucket and drape excess over the sides. Do the same with your Clear Trash Bag while inside Mesh Bag! Add in your Coco Coir Recipe as usual making sure your Water is boiling hot! Now lift your Trash bag a bit so everything is at the bottom. Do it slowly because bag is hot and easy to tear. Now do the same with your Laundry Bag.. Now you can't tear the bag hot of otherwise! With a short bit of your Trash Bag hanging out of the Laundry bag..Tighten the drawstring very tight onto the Trash Bag. Add the lid Wait for about 2 hours and remove the Laundry Bag and Substrate..Work the bag with your hands to break up any clumps and mix well. Put the bag back in the bucket and add the lid..Wait until the next day. Now mix well with your hands again to mix everything evenly.. (the water alway's settles to the bottom this will fix that problem). Now it's ready to use. Mix everytime before you use it. The benefits to this process are great. You have a clean sterale container each time you make it. You can mix it well without putting your fingers through the bag. When it's gone, justjust use the bag for your trash,no need to waist it. The Substrate is exposed to open air very little so contam is much better controled. Your hands only get dirty when you use it to fill your tubs You can add your spawn directly to the bag and mix it with your coir very easy and put it in your tubs ready to go. Works Great! tripld

Like, if you place your hand to the side of the fan, do you feel a freeze, like it's blowing air out of the box from the fan duct along the edges (air is sucked in more in the center, but air escapes along the edges of the duct wall and the tip of the fan blade)? Mine seems to do that, I don't think it's from a leak, just curious if this is normal. I think I can see why the fan can support 2 filter setups, seems rather powerful.

I was studying a book by Dr. Mandrake The Psilocybin Mushroom Bible which has a brief section to extract from powdered Mushrooms using 200 proof alcohol. I follow the instructions, but it wasn't potent. I used APE's so I know it wasn't the mushrooms themselves. I used 10 grams to get 20ml of extract as directed. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a successful method to extract from any amount of powdered APE

When I finally got the lime, in a couple of days, the mixture was very thick so I added a little more boiling water, 1/8 of a cup for the most. Now my mixture is runny. Is this a problem? How to fix it?

2021-04-01 22:54:22 +0000 UTCYou can oven dry or just leave out uncovered for a few days. But adding more lime is OK too, don’t overdo it, if you use too much it will be dry. It’s OK though to add 1/8 cup boiling hot water before any pull though if the bark mix is looking dry.

2020-09-04 17:49:42 +0000 UTCNot my area of expertise but I do grow a lot of things. Give it plenty of fertilizer and full sun, and keep the pests off it as best you can, and it will do great. Personally I’m not a fan of THC because of its neurotoxicity, but CBD is nice and neuroprotective.

2020-01-25 22:58:02 +0000 UTCI haven’t used it, from what I’ve read, you cannot freeze precipitate the DMT out, which means you must use an acid (vinegar) extract, but that in turn means you will have to convert it from salt to freebase form if you intend to vape it. https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=7084 Seems like more trouble than it’s worth, plus when I looked into it a while back I had a hard time finding food grade d-limonene that seemed trustworthy.

If the heptane evaporates away completely, the DMT has to remain behind unless you somehow managed to vaporize it away with high heat. Have you tried scraping the plate?

Tried the heptane purification method you posted and upon pulling it out of the freezer it seems to have all disappeared?! I know some weight is lost due to impurities but surely not so much that it seems to have gone down by like 85%, esp when the the yield was looking close to mostly white anyway?

2019-05-02 14:53:06 +0000 UTCWhen you say fair amount of yield, at what stage did you see it, when just taking out of the freezer? If it disappears when drying there are a couple of possibilities - maybe it was water crystals you were seeing and not DMT, they can actually look similar at first glance, but obviously the water will disappear upon drying. If there was no yield, the cause could be fake bark, or perhaps you did not follow the TEK carefully, or your freezer isn't cold enough, or you did not reduce the solvent enough before freezing. Another possibility is that there are plant oils in there, and the oils are dissolving the DMT during the drying. If this is the case, you didn't lose anything, its still on the plate and it can be scrapped off with a razor, but it may be hard to see. Lower quality bark can have more plant oils like this, its more common with acacia (I recommend using mimosa). Another possibility is that your solvent is no good (what did you use?) - try using a different solvent, naphtha can be found from many different retailers or online, and in many different countries but often sold under different names (google your country and naphtha and nexus to look for leads).

2019-03-04 09:45:20 +0000 UTCThe solvent isn't saturated until reduced, and the DMT will not completely precipitate out until saturated, so the idea behind this is to maximize what will precipitate out. If you want to test this, you can let the leftover solvent evaporate in a dish after the precipitation, then scrape the dish with a razor after all solvent is gone, to see how much DMT did not freeze precipitate out (you can always redissolve this in solvent and freeze precip again if you want).

2018-12-30 23:42:29 +0000 UTCI did the FAQ "How do I recrystallize DMT" as I'm extracting from ACRB and it tends to be fatty even with the defatting process and iv'e been collecting the fat scrapping the freezing tray with a razer after removing as much crystal as possible and decided to test vaping it as it stinks of delicious DMT, the result is a somewhat headache like DMT experience like I felt the DMT but stopped due to the blood pressure affect. So I did the crystallization on the fatty red blobs I would sometimes get where fat and crystals were collected together as it was impossible to separate and also the scraped fat, The process was very simple and gave me lots of 100% usable DMT, a very positive result from running the process. I think the oxidation could be avoided if long term stored in sealed container had an oxygen absorber: https://amzn.to/2R2e1zC I would go ahead and try to de-oxidize it, it will be interesting to see if it works, I've never tried this myself. I don't see how those steps could ruin anything. If you want me to mess around with it for you, I'd be game, I'll even make a video of it. DMT N-Oxide isn't NN-DMT strictly speaking, regardless of the subjective experiences which people report. Granted it may not be as extreme of a change as 5-MEO-DMT but it's a different molecule with different molecular mass and concentration of active DMT, which can throw off measurements. All in all the changes are subtle and nitpicky, I agree. May need 40mg's instead of 30 for example but the idea that the DMT has "rusted" just doesn't sit well with me. To clean it up and restore it, to me, feels a lot like restoring a rusting classic muscle car. I do wonder if it would be better/faster/easier sometimes to just do a fresh extraction. The issue is how often it's used, it's been more than 5 years already so if a new batch sat that long the same thing would likely happen. Problem is MHRB gets harder and harder to get. There may come a day when we really can't unless we own a business that has an actual need so having a stockpile is nice. That being said, I dunno how likely that would be seeing as more and more it's being tolerated by alphabet agencies thanks to religious freedoms.

2018-12-17 12:49:00 +0000 UTCOK, so the basic steps to remove oxidation are: Dissolve the DMT in dilute acidic solution, add zinc dust, stir for several hours or days to be safe (use a magnetic stirrer), filter to remove zinc, add base, do a pull with naphtha/heptane as in a normal extraction. As a more detailed guideline, I would recommend looking at <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Iy2-m6iveLPogf8r_HfVFCOAa2lmDX_4_HZeXeyDWb8/edit" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">DaBuzz's harmala TEK</a> step 20 describes dissolving in vinegar, then search the doc for "zinc" and you will see those details. <a href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/Zinc-Dust-Powder-1-lb-ZN-Metal-99-Pure-5-8-Micron/182923455211" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Here is one source of the zinc you will need.</a> You still haven't provided a very good reason for doing all of this though, its a hassle and you will have net losses (less DMT at the end). Wanting it to look white because you think that's more glorious isn't that convincing to me (maybe a little racist too, just kidding :) p.s. I know there are lots of people in the psychedelic crowd who would love to see a proper how-to for this and I would make sure you get all the credit ;D

Some guy did steal my content and posted it under his own channel, so some people have been confused by that. I can't see your imgur pic, but I've seen oxidized DMT before. If you really want to clean it up, you should probably start with a recrystalization (described in the FAQ above) and see what that gives you. But I'm not sure there is really any need, you can still use oxidized DMT and it seems to be just as potent. I once stored some for many years, completely unsealed and exposed to air, it turned pink, at some point I gave it to a friend. That guy contacted me later, thanking me profusely, he had never used DMT before, he said he met some aliens, at first the aliens played music with him (like they were all jamming together) then the aliens took him away to show him their world, they let him know that "death was not the end". Good times.

If you can get mimosa though, its going to save you a lot of time compared to low yielding alternative plants. There are some mentions or concerns in forums about additives, but it seems this is probably not currently an issue. Definitely look for any colors and do an evaporate test to verify it’s clean.

But DMT also turns pink naturally if left out too long, this happens as it oxidizes, but doesn't seem to impact quality/potency much if at all. This can be avoided by storing in a tightly sealed container and using an oxygen absorber (adding a desiccant is a good idea too).

It should come out mostly pure white if you followed this TEK, any colors represent contamination. If you are using acacia, you should do a defat step before basifying, this is described in the written version of the TEK. Otherwise, you can clean it up after the fact as well by doing a recrystalization - this is described above in the FAQ under "Is recrystallization recommended?" and "How do I recrystallize DMT?"
