Live Action Fans Here?
Added 2025-01-03 00:12:59 +0000 UTCI just finished binging Oshi No Ko: The Final Act and ommmggg this was just what I needed for a good binge. It was just as emotional as episode 1 was of the anime but this one succeeded in actually making me bawl my eyes with their acting.
I thought the casting was well done (a few I felt iffy about such as Miyako and Ichigo Saitou and Akane just due to looks entirely) and I loved the effects they did with the eyes (which is such a huge part of this anime) 😍 they also made unique openings per episode and the finale’s ED had some good teasers and snippets that made you go 👀
Some things were done differently and we got some additional content packed into these episodes that I don’t think was in the anime (so not sure if it’s canon or not to the source material). I’ve always been skeptical of live actions and never felt they do much justice for the anime but this one actually had me hooked. I loved how they combined season 1 and 2 together…didn’t see that coming at all in the span of 8 episodes (each being 50+ mins). They left out some of the characters introduced in the anime that I would have liked to see in the live action for the fun of it, but as for how the timeline of events went I feel it flowed nicely with who they did introduce since so much happened.
Anywho, it was a pleasant surprise of a live action and I enjoyed myself.
in other good news, one piece live action season 2 has wrapped filming! can't wait for that to start up again! 💛

Try searching Anochan Chu First Take. That should do it. She looks amazing in that video, btw. Her outfit looks like it's straight out of an anime.

It started out looking like it was going to be a bit fan-servicey but it settled down and got serious pretty quickly. I don't know if you'd be interested in that but at least I tried to return the favour lol

2025-01-04 00:46:29 +0000 UTCI just watched the first episode and it was really enjoyable. I recognised the actress playing Ai. I think she was in Nogizaka46 or one of those groups. There were too many to remember all of them or even care to try lol. She was really adorable in this anyway, especially when she was with the kids. Just adorable enough to pass as Ai :) The Idol I mentioned plays Memcho, so I haven't seen her in action yet. I just caught a glimpse of her in the closing credits. I don't really know much about her, I'm not a big fan or anything, I just stumbled across her on YouTube and found her fascinating: she's an ex member of an idol group I've never heard of, who went solo and started releasing kinda weird and crazy songs, some of them are heavy metal. One of them is a closing theme for a Chainsaw Man episode. I just love that gap, y'know? She is hilarious and super-cute as well, which doesn't hurt. From what I remember of Memcho she has been well cast. Memcho was pretty kooky, right? Ano-chan can be weird and kooky all day long! I may be very slightly infatuated lol The live action looks good. It felt rushed because they condensed the movie down to half it's runtime, and it felt a bit cheap and amateur-ish but that actually worked for me. I thought it added an authenticity, as if we were watching Ai's home movies instead of a tv show. I'm not sure if that charm will hold up for the whole series but I'm excited to see. By the way, when I looked up the cast list I noticed that the actress playing Kana will be replaced in season 2. I didn't see why. I was trying not to see anything beyond their names but that was in huge, unmissable letters. I hope nothing bad has happened to the original actress.

She's totally weird and not like an idol at all, which is probably why she got cast in the Live action Oshi no Ko lol. I don't know who she plays but there was a picture of her and the caption said she was in B Komachi. Past or present B Komachi, it didn't say. I didn't know it was available to watch in the West but that says, Prime? I hope it's on UK Amazon Prime. I really want to see that. Thanks for posting this. You're like an essential public service announcer! Keep it up lol
