Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!

It's been a while since I last watched a BL anime, and this one was such a pleasant treat to binge! And to no one's surprise, it also takes place in an office LOL (I have an office anime phase going on). But yes, combine being a 30 year-old virgin and a wizard into one anime and you get this cute lil BL moment. In all honesty, It would be so scary to have the powers that Adachi was given, but I just know that my curiosity would get the better of me to want to read peoples' minds even at the expense of it hurting my feelings - it's just funny that he got these powers from being a 30-year old virgin...it's crazy, I know...and what I liked about this anime, and with it being a BL one, is that it felt very inclusive, welcoming and judgement free. There was a certain warmth felt while watching this one, and it quite honestly made me giggle and kick my feet a little while watching. They build up the tension well and def give you those "JUST SAY IT" or "JUST DO IT" moments that drive you wild (But in a good way), and I really liked how well adaptive and open-minded Adachi was at the thought of liking someone of the same sex. I wouldn't say this anime is anything CRAZY, but it's just a nice break from all the action these days that slows things down to a regular day-to-day pacing and brings you back to what it's like having a crush on someone. Adachi doesnt have the most dating experience so he's completely new to all of this and what it feels like to be in love so its a cute play of discovering these different emotions and learning how to act on them. With this anime, it doesn't just focus on one couple, but actually a second couple from our main group of secondary couples, which is done in a really nice way so it doesn't feel choppy at all. I haven't watched enough BL anime to compare this one to any others - so I apologize on that!

My New Boss is Goofy (as seen in the GIF above)

Okay so I actually LOVED this anime. It also had me giggling SO MUCH that I couldn't stop myself from binging this one. This is a great slice-of-life anime with good humour and a positive outlook on your working/personal relationships. I read a review saying that it's not a BL anime, but definitely could be and I see what they mean by that - but honestly, it's just a really great show of male friendship and working relationships between a Senpai and Kohai and fellow colleagues. The premise of this anime stems from workplace harassment and power dynamics between a boss and his employees and the detrimental health effects because of that. Our MC gets himself a new job but now has severe PTSD (because of how his former boss treated him) that comes up time and time again in his new workplace. He eventually finds that his new boss is nothing like his last, but is much more clumsy, goofy and insanely caring. It becomes a beautiful display of what a healthy working relationship should be, and the interactions they have or the events that take place per episode always left me with such a huge smile on my face. Also, if you like cats then this one is also for you because the boss ends up adopting the CUTEST little kitten with an adorable personality of his own (side note: the cat also came from a bad home so it's also learning how to adapt to living with someone who properly cares for him). I have nothing bad to say about this anime, I thoroughly enjoyed it (okay but actually one of the characters got a wee bit annoying, but it's easy to overlook) - and while it doesn't necessarily have a crazy storyline, it does have great character development 🥹
