New OC, MustardUI 0.33, Eevee NEXT lights and other updates

Just some quick updates.

New OC models

I'm adding several original characters I made in the last month to test some new stuffs for the models. Nothing special, mostly improvements to my workflow and general Blender performance (finally I can run this model with 40fps with morphs active). In fact I was a bit worried about this part, and I hope it will be fixed in new models. Not night and day, but at least characters should be animatable at 30fps without disabling morphs if you have a ryzen 3 or better (or Intel equivalent). For me this is a huge deal considering how useful the head controllers can be if you can animate them with the rest of the scene.

At the moment there is only one, more to come (probably next year, as I'm making them usable). There are additional images in the archive folder (Patreon does not allow NSFW content).

I updated the UI to be compatible with Blender 4.2 and 4.3. Please use this version if you are using those Blender versions. The new model is compatible only with Blender 4.3.

Errors with lights in Eevee NEXT

Since some of you asked about this issue, just a note for those of you using Eevee in Blender 4.2/4.3. In fact Eevee NEXT has a huge limitations with the resolution of lights in scenes with a lot of lights, or even with a small number of very high resolution lights.

The symptom is the console error "Error: Shadow buffer full, may result in missing shadows and lower performance.", usually showing with completely different light results in render with respect to viewport (see image above). There are several ways to fix it:

Note that the buffer needed is higher if you increase the rendering resolution (e.g. from 1080p to 4K). That is, it might be that you encounter this issue with 4K renderings but not with HD ones.

Yes. I'm trying all the options and tick the boxes but no joy. It only works on 4.0 atm.

If you still have issues after this, please open an issue on github: https://github.com/Mustard2/MustardUI/issues with a screenshot (if any, does it says something or give you an error? check also the console)

Try to delete all possible previous MustardUI installation from both the Add-ons and Get Extensions tab in the blender settings. Than save the settings and restart Blender (important), and then retry to install

I still can't get mustard to work on Blender 4.3 for some reason.

Thanks! I'm trying to open Blender whenever I can, I lack of a portable decent hardware at the moment. I hope to solve this when 5090 laptop is released :D

Thanks! Lately I'm a bit busy with work (I basically moved to another country and I don't have my main PC with me, and it's difficult to work with Blender :( ).

Another char that needs a rework yes. I'll check what I can do after the holidays, because I'm still working on some things in the workflow (for instance a complete rework of the physics part).

Understandable. What about your Lara Croft model? I want to use it in animations but hasn't been updated in a while.

Fot that I think at this point I'll wait for the new FF VII Rebirth PC release and see if they made some improvements to their models. Only one month for that :D
