Hi!
This is a post mainly for creators using Daz and Genesis 9 models in Blender (or are interested to use them). Or if you want to beta test a new model with a new face rig, please check the beta test paragraph below. :)
As far as I know there is no face controller available in vanilla Genesis9 models, and I really really liked the Genesis8 one (as you can get from the fact that I added it to all my models). This is really unfortunate because there are several new things in the Genesis9 models that would make worthy the step to upgrade the workflow to use this updated version.
Thus I spent a couple of days working on a new tool to create a face rig on any Genesis9 model similar to the one in Genesis8, using the new Genesis9 emotion units. There are plently more face morphs than in Genesis8, and I tried to add some of these new ones to the new face controllers rig.
I got some nice results but I'm still not sure if it is worthy to spend additional time to add it to MustardUI (maybe generalizing it for any type of rig). Is anyone interested to have it as a general tool for their models? Please let me know in the comments if you are interested, so I can check the general interest in this.
Also, even if you're not interested in the tool itself, for those who have 5/10 minutes to dedicate, I can send them the new test model in the image to check the face controllers rig for bugs and give me feedbacks. Since I plan to switch to Genesis9 soon, I would like to have a bug free rig!
**Thus let me know if you want to beta test this!** Just be sure to have these 5/10 minutes to actually check if everything is working correctly.
Also consider that, since I'm making this rig from scratch, we can also add new stuffs (like bones) or modify some existing things. This is why I need feedbacks before "pushing this to production". :D

There are several improvements that I found very interesting.
Better mesh, subdivided by default. This would help a lot when wrapping game models with the body mesh. And even for original ones, the results seems to be better due to this improved mesh.
The face improvements are really great! There is the possibility to create way better expressions with more subtle morphs, but also retaining the simplicity of Genesis8 if needed (provided there is the facial controller I'm trying to develop). Also the facial mocap with iPhone seems way better.
Also the general body deformations are better, especially the corrective ones.
Outfits and other stuffs quality seems superior.
This new version seems to be now supported by a lot of external tools.
I'm also working a bit on the new version of MustardUI. Some notable new things:
Morphs are now available for all models, not only Diffeomorphic. This means for creators that they can add their morphs to the Morphs panel now. And for users that you might see more models with Morph panel even if not Daz based. It is possible to specify different Sections as in the Body panel, and batch import shape keys and custom properties with a few clicks.
And now also Genesis9 is supported...
A new tool is available to add Physics to all outfits in a model. This should heavily simplify the process of using Physics with outfits. In fact one of the most asked question is always how to make the outfits follow the cages: now it should be easier to answer this question. :)
(Experimental) Some people asked for a quicker way to use the UI, since there are a lot of panels and it might be time consuming to go through them for some basic stuffs. Now pressing Alt + Shift + M (key combination pending final decision) you can get a pie menu to quickly change Armature layers, enable Physics, and more things to come..

But as always, if you want just let me know what you think. :)
P.S. Almost finished Momiji and another model..
