Friday Rambles 2021_11_19

Consume
- Had very little time to draw lately, because real life work is kickin my butt and in my free time I've been playing Metroid Dread.
- Played a bunch of Metroid Dread. It was the first Metroid game I've actually seriously played and it's fantastic. The atmosphere and certain parts of the game are quite spooky but I've been powering through and felt so cool getting all the powerups and beating the bosses
- I'm glad I got a chance to see Dune in theaters. I'm not super versed in Dune lore but I enjoyed it
- Still haven't seen Eternals yet - I just don't really care about it, they're not connected to any existing MCU stuff and I don't know any of the characters lol
- Pretty excited about the new Spiderman though, the new trailer was cool
Artist??? Life?????
- I wish I had time to draw more than one thing a week
- I've been drawing fanarts for artist friends lately (did Ssambatea and 33_dott in the past couple weeks) It was a nice break from just drawing Skye and Blythe for a month, so there's probably more to come soon.
- I drew a fanart of Blue Mary from King of Fighters as per a request in the previous ramble post. I'll be posting it after I wake up tomorrow. During the process of looking up references I came upon an entire genre of Bloody Mary cocktails with ridiculously complicated and gigantic garnishes (like burgers, a complete fried chicken, a whole pizza, another Bloody Mary), which I didn't know was a thing.
Anyway now that it's the weekend I'll be going back to playing Metroid Dread, hopefully I can finish it soon so I can work on this new idea I've been wanting to draw. Hopefully I can draw it as well as I can see it in my head, but who knows...
