Friday Rambles 2021_12_31 - New Year's Resolutions Edition

I made some art resolutions, on top of my other real life resolutions related to getting myself together. I'll just share the art resolutions, though.
These are nebulous goals but I'm too lazy to think of specific goals that I must hit with milestones and whatever. This ain't my job (yet)
- sketch more, spend more time on finished work and post less often. spend a good amount of time outside my comfort zones for each work. get gooder at painting. always tell an interesting story with each pic. enjoy more existing works so i can do more fanart.
- dip my toes in commission work (likely starting with "fast and bad" portrait comms for relatively cheap)
- continue to do merch, but the merch needs to be specially made, not just making an existing thing a sticker (also clearing out all the old existing stuff with a big ol sale). Earn as much as I did this year (minus makeship plushie cut which I may never accomplish again)
- do something meaningful, idk, sharing sage advice or mentoring or whatever
- more patreon stuff (maybe polls/exclusive fast and bad sketch requests/etc)
In previous years I made goals for twitter followers or whatever, but I don't think looking at that is really worth it at this point (unless it's dropping or something). I'm going to focus on getting good and having fun instead.
Anyone else got any art resolutions or suggestions for the new year? :)

Interesting, good goals! Funny, a couple of them are the exact opposite of my goals last year...I wanted to speed up my sketch process and put out more light-effort works instead of just a handful of nice pieces with nothing in between. I guess it makes sense since we're at pretty different places in our art journeys.... This year I want to do more studies, and get better at supporting\interacting with mutuals. I think I spend far too much time "simping" (I wish there were a better word sorry) instead of giving love back to the people who do support me.
